Busy bee

Birds eye view of Thames

Hello, I have been a busy bee so unfortunately got side tracked and haven’t posted for a whole month! I’m sorry.

I can’t believe how quickly time is flying.

Hope you have all been well and enjoying this ridiculously warm weather for this time of year. (Those that live in the south that is).

I can’t say that I have done much in the last month as we both have had the flu, plus work generally takes over the week and come the evenings all I want to do is chill out on the sofa and cuddle up with Mark.

We have had a few days out though which was nice. I did fly back to Palma for the weekend and I enjoyed that. It was super relaxed and I giggled a lot.

We did make our way to Camden Market too. I love London. Again, the weather was so good that day. Global warming is doing funny things.

Truffled Fries, Mmmm.

Only 4 weeks to go until our proper holiday. I am already trying to work out what I am taking with me. We will be making our way back to Dubai but having a weekend in Barcelona together beforehand. This is where I think I will start my Youtube journey.

I’ve attempted to film over the last few weeks but surprisingly I got nervous…I know it’s all about being yourself and showing people where you are and what you are doing but it is a bit daunting. However, I will give it my best shot and would love your feedback.

There are two programmes on TV that I like at the moment…I have always been a fan of “The Great British sewing bee” of course being into fashion I know that every garment worn the amount of work that goes into it is incredible. It really is a great show. I laugh too as I am a fan of Joe Lycett and love the fact he is on sewing bee.

Another show I am into is “Race across the world” being a travel lover it’s about pairs of travellers racing to reach the Far East without taking a plane, spending only the money that they would have used to buy the 12 hour flight. They need to get to their destination by only land and sea. This journey will take them 50 days. The decisions that some of the teams make are sometimes questionable but generally it does make you think can you do it any quicker?

Bizarrely a place I never thought I would say I would go and visit is Azerbaijan but the programme really does sell it to me. It looks awesome. On my bucket list now!

We love travelling so much so that we have a scratch off map at home. We are starting from “scratch” and only scratching off all the places we have been to together. Makes sense to start going to the places that neither of us have been to so that’s my plan going forward (After this one of course). We have a frame on order to put the map in and start scratching bought from good ole Amazon.

The past month has been busy but also pretty difficult too. The flu really gets you down, our ears didn’t pop for days after the flight from Spain, all because of the flu. Work has taken over and business is tough but life continues and you solider on. Those bills won’t pay themselves will they?

Jack the Cat has to have a mention in this post. I never thought I would be a cat person. Until I met Jack I would never make an effort to touch a cat. They weirded me out. I loved Jack’s persistence when he came into our lives. He wouldn’t go away, he would come back every day and now I see him more than I ever did and he loves us. I adore him.

Any recommendations for Barcelona please leave comments below or send me a Twitter message. It would be great to hear from you.

In the meantime, I’ll continue making every effort to not being such a busy bee, hopefully I’ll be back sooner rather than later and be posting a lot more than I have done. Perhaps the content will be more riveting too but until then I wanted to say Hi!

Thanks again for taking the time to read my posts and continuing on this journey with me. See you soon.

With Love Mel x

Our Jack.
