It was our date night at Yoshishi, Westcliff-on-Sea.
We decided to eat out on the weekend and go back to the Teppanyaki in Westcliff.
The owners have done a pretty good job with the recent refurbishment of the restaurant.
Westcliff is 15-20 minutes walk from Southend-on-sea. It’s a small town but it has some great places to eat.
Yoshishi offers Japanese style cuisine and it really is good food. All the food is fresh and is absolutely delicious.
I am not a fish fan, but I do eat vegetable or meat sushi which I did and it was so tasty.
Mark really enjoyed his sushi! He loves sushi anyway but obviously this was super fresh in comparison to the sushi lunches from the supermarkets.
The word Teppanyaki is derived from Teppan which is the metal plate on which your food is cooked and yaki which means grilled or pan fried.
It’s an entertaining and filling meal that’s for sure.
We had soup to start, with ribs and chicken wings. For our main we had chicken, beef and egg fried rice that was cooked on the Teppan how you like it.
We also tucked into a tasty salad.
You’ll be amazed with the knife skills of the chef and the flames created by the chef too.
We drank rose wine, laughed and had lots of fun together, which usually is the case, one of the reasons why I always look forward to our next adventures.
That’s how I see most things, an adventure.
Our date night was fun! We laughed on the way to the restaurant, during and on our way home.
It’s a really friendly atmosphere at Yoshishi and I would recommend booking a table the next time you are in Westcliff-On-Sea.
The staff would love to see you there and I promise you the food is great. They do offer a deliveroo and Just Eat service but if you want the full experience you’ll need to visit the restaurant.
A great night out for everyone.
