5 WAYS TO FEEL BODY CONFIDENT

At every stage of our lives we analyse our bodies and always try and find ways to improve it. This is normal we all do it but we shouldn’t be so hard on ourselves. Every single human being has something they love or dislike about themselves.

I go through stages, sometimes I love the way I look and then I could have days where I seem to have a list as long as my arm of what I dislike about myself. It can be a struggle to maintain the confidence when you have those down days.

Here are some tips that has helped me and hopefully will you help you feel more confident to tell the world how wonderful you are.

STOP COMPARING

From now on don’t compare yourself to others. PLEASE STOP. You know what, we are all different and that’s something we should appreciate and be proud of. Why waste valuable time and energy focusing on others and how they look when you could put all that energy into yourself. You are unique and that’s amazing. We are all amazing in our own special ways. Focusing on yourself will make you feel good inside and out. I guarantee that the person you are comparing yourself to has something they dislike about their body but they have the knack of not revealing how they may really feel sometimes which leads me on to tip number two…

POSITIVITY

The day you feel rubbish about yourself you just need to smile and laugh out loud it will make you feel ten times better. Yes you feel rubbish about yourself today but tomorrow you will feel so much better, why? because today you decided not to compare yourself to others, you decided you will focus on you and this is the start of you becoming more confident about you and your life. If you are feeling pants today, seriously, smile and laugh, it releases happiness endorphins. I know I’d rather smile than cry so honestly try it. You look so much more attractive with a smile and it does help to do this if you have low self confidence. Fake it today but tomorrow it will be the real thing. Focus on the things you love about you and this will make your smile real.

EMBRACE YOUR BODY

Wear those clothes that make you feel amazing, do the things that you love, try out a new hairstyle that you have wanted for ages. Pamper yourself, this is my trick. I feel so much better about my body after a nice pamper session. Exercise if thats what you like to do. I love to run, although I haven’t been for a while, I haven’t been able to, I have been super busy. Hopefully soon I will be back to it. Perhaps try the gym, swimming, dancing, sports anything that makes you tick to give you that feel good factor. Whats holding you back? You, why? If you continue on the same negative thought train you will never get off. You need to find something you will enjoy doing to keep you motivated. Believe in yourself. Embrace the body you have. You can improve the way you look but strive for progress not perfection because thats super hard to find, in fact I’m certain if you look around you will never find a perfect body in the real world. We have to ACCEPT who we are and that’s ok. It’s ok to be who we are.

SUPPORT

If you feel others are bringing you down then you need to remove yourself from those people surrounding you. More often than not people say negative things about others because they think it makes themselves feel better but in actual fact it doesn’t. I have never understood why people can’t be happy for others. I know that I am different, I know that I want different things to other people. I also know that if I am unhappy for whatever reason I surround myself with people that make me happy. So, if you need a confidence boost then go to your bestie or family that love you for who you are. I would like to take the opportunity now though, just so you know, you are amazing. You are beautiful and don’t let ANYONE tell you that you are not.

LOVE YOURSELF

Learn to love who you are. As we get older we get wiser and we learn lots of things. Now you may see things that you don’t like that take over your mind and it becomes really important. This can take up a lot of head space but believe me, some of those things become so irrelevant later on in life. Love who you see in the mirror each day, you need to see the real beauty and that lies within. Be healthy, keep strong and remember you are the only person that is you. You are unique so that makes you extremely special.
