Penhaligon’s, adding a little luxury.

I was aged 17, when I walked through the door of a Penhaligon’s shop. I have no idea why I was there, it seems like such a long time ago, but I was there. Amazed and fascinated by this ridiculously gorgeous scent that hit me at the entrance.

It was like my sense of smell was transported in another world. I don’t remember much of the store itself, just the delicious smell.

Fast forward to today, I have started watching a programme on Apple TV called “Drops of God” and if you have been watching it too, you’ll understand when I say, I can identify a Penhaligon’s scent just by the slightest sniff.

Casting my mind back to the day I first encountered Penhaligon’s, I was in amazement. I get it, I now know why, since 1870, this brand has sustained it’s rightful place in the world of luxury.

The heritage, the presentation, bottles and most importantly the fragrances, in my opinion, bring a touch of class to any bathroom and cosmetic bag.

The additions to our home

When we moved home, my first purchase for our guest bathroom was the Penhaligon’s Hand wash and lotion  the scents of peach, vanilla and blood orange. It’s perfect for spring/summer and very fitting for Christmas too with the blood orange element.

I also purchased recently Earl Grey & Neroli Tea candles  they are absolutely a must, if you want your home smelling fresh!

I really love the scent of Tea, being such a tea lover myself, I’ll have a tea candle when I see one!

Not forgetting the matches to strike. I spotted the incredibly long tin that houses approx 240 matches, double ended matches, with the fantastic design of the Royal Pavilion covering the tin from top to bottom.

I’m from Brighton so this was also a lovely nostalgic addition to my Penhaligon’s collection.

Penhaligon’s Fragrances

With birthdays coming round so quickly again, I also purchased the Gentleman’s Fragrance collection along with a lovely full sized bottle of Sartorial. A short while after, my partner bought himself another addition to the Penhaligon’s family, Lothair. We visited a store just recently. He loves the brand now just as much I do. He smells just wonderful too!

It’s definitely worth investing a little bit more money in products that are memorable. A gift that will last a lifetime in memories.

I buy Penhaligon’s because it transports my mind back to a time of curiosity and fascination. I love the fragrances and the history.
