Christmas preparation purchases

The Christmas preparations are underway. YAY! I thought I would share with you some of my purchases so far as we approach the festive season. It seems the shops have been cashing in on Christmas far earlier than the year before. In fact, it seems that it starts earlier and earlier each year.

It doesn’t stop me buying though. Sadly.

Here are a few Festive items that have caught my eye and made their way into the shopping basket.

Cotton Napkins -We have a few packets of paper napkins lying around in the kitchen drawers but I decided I would purchase some cotton ones this year. These were a great find designed by DKNY in TKMaxx and I had to have them. At £7.99 for four napkins I thought it was a great find.

There was a choice of 4 designs. One design has a Christmas tree, another design has the words ‘Ho, Ho, Ho’ on, the third set has silver and white snowflake style which also comes in black and white too. I ended up buying 4 packs of those cotton napkins.

Napkin rings -To go with the new cotton napkins. I purchased these from Amazon. I have seen in the shops snowflake style napkin rings but these had like faux diamonds in. Those are not to my taste really so I decided to go with something more my style, more arty.

Whilst on the subject of Amazon I have included Haemochromtosis UK as my charity of choice at no extra cost to me so everytime I make a purchase from amazon a donation is made to the charity. You have to purchase through Smile Amazon (Same thing just an easier way of them to track charity donations) Please don’t forget to add your charity of choice when making a purchase.

A fireplace wreath – Again from TKMaxx with a price tag of £19.99 it fits perfectly on our fireplace and really does look the part. I can’t wait to show you what it looks like once all the preparations are finished.

Cancer Research Reindeers – Whilst on our travels in October we picked up Christmas Cards and Christmas reindeers from the cancer research shop. They are so adorable and will go perfectly on a side table or cabinet. Grey and white in colour they go well with the Christmas theme. The christmas cards are lovely too. Many think Christmas cards are pointless nowadays, but I still like to do some of the traditional things at Christmas.

Table Decorations

Also purchased were acorns with silver glitter which I bought from a small vintage style shop in Devon, confetti from Amazon and a silver candle holder also bought from TKMaxx, all will look perfect on the table once finalised. In Palma, I picked up dried oranges and pine cones to also go with our table setting decorations. Along with two more adorable Christmas teddies. The florist in Palma has to be one of the best shops in town for me.

Baubles

I was so eager to get the tree up but we held out for as long as possible. It looks amazing and I am thrilled with the tree this year.

I purchased this bauble from Liberty of London for pretty much the same price as the napkins but well worth it. It’s all things british which is what I love. It goes just nicely on our Christmas tree amongst the other baubles we have purchased.

In complete contrast to the bauble price tag from Liberty, I bought a wooden reindeer tree ornament from Asda for £1. I thought it was too cute to ignore. You can pick up some great bargains in your local supermarket if you take the time to look out for them.

How are you getting on with your Christmas preparations?
