Only me! It’s October and it’s well and truly Autumn.
I have had my hair cut this week so feeling better about that. It is no longer looking as messy as it does in this snap.
Lots of things going on this month. I’ll be heading to the spa that I have put off for quite some time now. I’ll also be heading to Elstree Studios to watch the filming of the new series of Celebrity Juice. Saying Hola in Spain and embracing the Devonian Dialect whilst in Devon.
It’ll be a busy month, but in between I’ll be on the hunt for those all important pumpkins. Generally, I’ll go to two places really for my pumpkins, the pumpkin farm and the supermarket for those munchkin pumpkins as they are perfect for the dining table. I recently bought new paints so I can decorate them to make a centrepiece for the dining table. I’ll share the pièce de résistance on my social media channels.
The darker nights are coming around fast. I am at sat at the dining table and I’ve just looked out the window. I see, red sky at night in the very distance, shepherds delight, they say right? Closer to home though it’s dark.
Tonight we are having cottage pie for dinner… I’ve stopped to turn the oven on. Cosy night in with the fire roaring and cottage pie. What’s your favourite cosy night in meal? Cottage pie with lots of gravy like me?
On another note, you may recall we started playing squash…We have been a few times…not as much as we would have liked but I am confident once we have more time on our hands we will be able to squeeze it in. It’s hard to be honest. We both have so much going on with work.
Work has become more and more hectic. Mark is inspirational when it comes to business though. I watch him and learn so much from his knowledge and experience. He is incredibly hard working, works all the time, even when it’s time to shut off I know he is still thinking about work but this another reason why I fell in love with him, he wants to do the best he can. We are very similar in that respect. We do what we have to do to pay the bills too.
I placed my first Christmas order online last week. I used my boots advantage card points which I didn’t realise I had until I downloaded the new app by boots. On my advantage card, I had £27.00 so I spent the whole lot on wrapping paper, it was 3 for 2!
Unfortunately for me…I missed the delivery at the house.
The next morning Mark and I drove to the sorting office to collect the parcel. Turns out it was 4 huge parcels. I mean they used one big box the size of a smart car for 2 rolls of wrapping paper. The other 3 parcels were all weird and wonderful shapes. It’s fine though as cardboard boxes come in handy for me however, it was ridiculously big. You should have seen Mark’s face when he was loading the car. Ooops!
How’s things with you guys? I hope you are looking forward to those autumn evenings as much as I am. I’d love to see you over on my other social channels. You can find me on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
If you have a google account check out my Google reviews. I am currently at 1,038,882 views. Aiming for 2 million before the year is out! Fingers crossed. I have reviewed so many places that I haven’t even mentioned here on my blog.
Sorry it’s a short one. I am keeping an eye on dinner and admiring Mark as I type in front of him whilst he is on his computer working. It’s 7.30pm. I refer to my above statement. He is incredibly hard working.
Gotta go….dinners nearly up.
Have an awesome rest of the week and I’ll see you very soon.
With Love Mel x
