I am very lucky that I have a wonderful boyfriend that cook’s for us. My Boyfriend enjoys cooking. He adds his own little twists to each meal he cooks which is what makes it extra special. He is a great cook.
I cook with my eyes. Totally the opposite to how he cooks. Unfortunately, I have no patience when it comes to cooking. My boyfriend on the other hand always preps the exact amount, set’s timers and is very organised.
Eating out is great but I mostly prefer home cooking. Not only is it an opportunity to brush up on cooking skills but It’s a great social event too. We’ll pour some wine and have a chat, play music and just chill out together.
Our wine of preference currently is 19 Crimes. If you like chocolate you’ll love this red wine. There are a few different bottles to try and they even have a white wine too. You can buy 19 crimes at most supermarkets. It even has a really cool app too that I would recommend downloading. I won’t spoil the surprise for you.
This week, I have had some amazing dinners made for me. I have been at work until late this week, not ideal, but on the plus side I have returned home to some fabulous meals, the table laid and candles lit.
Recently he’s made a few great dishes. Beef & Broccoli, his own take on Lasagne, Creamy Chicken Mustard, Curry, Sausage & Apple bake, all sorts.
My new favourite dish that he made for me last night is Chicken with Paprika & Garlic, Butternut Squash & Green Beans & Rice. The combination was delicious, the flavours with olive oil and seasoning OH MY GOD it was amazing.
By far my best meal yet. Mouth watering.
I thought I would share the recipe for Creamy Mustard Chicken with you though as it is super tasty…Jamie Oliver. Thank you.
Creamy Mustard Chicken
- Mixed Mushrooms
- 1 Red Onion
- 2 Teaspoons wholegrain mustard
- 60ml Single Cream
- 2 Skinless Chicken Breasts
- Chop the red onion and cut the chicken breasts into strips
- On a medium heat add the mushrooms to a dry frying pan.
- Once the mushrooms are golden brown, add the onion & chicken to the pan
- Add a tablespoon of olive oil to the frying pan
- Cook for 5 minutes and adding mustard, 150ml of water and the single cream
- Bring to the boil then simmer until the chicken is cooked through
- Add seasoning
Voila! A quick meal that takes 30 minutes max cooking time.
