FFS. Have you all had enough of spending time together? LOCKDOWN………I have just the thing to get you through this. Cook together…….Yes, I said cook together!
For Food lovers out there I have a super spicy treat for you and a way to bring you back together…..
Spicentice! If you have never heard of Spicentice before or even tried their special spices, now whilst in lockdown I would suggest practising those culinary skills and tickling your taste buds with the Spicentice kits.
Not so long ago Mark and I cooked various meals each week using the spice kits we received from Spicentice. We had a huge variety to choose from including Fajita kits, Curry spices and Italian spice rubs, so we got cracking with cooking.
Each spice packet includes the spices (obviously), a list of ingredients ‘The shopping list” located on the back of each packet along with cooking instructions. Each meal we cooked was so simple and easy to do but the best part of it all was eating it.
“Cooking is more enjoyable”
If someone said to me make a Thai Style Sriracha before I had even tried cooking with Spicentice…truth of the matter is, I wouldn’t honestly have known where to start.
With Spicentice the easy to follow instructions and shopping list, which to be fair the ingredients used can be purchased at a low cost, it turned out to be a great result.
We made meals from scratch, no short cuts at all using fresh ingredients. The spices really do turn a rather bland meal to an extremely tasty meal. It changed my my way of cooking things that’s for sure and the way I think about food.
Let’s face it, the reality of what is happening in the world currently, it really does make us realise how lucky we were to have everything at our fingertips. Especially at a time when you couldn’t get many food items off the shelf because of people stock pilling.
Spicentice have a website of which you can order Introduction bundles of spices, Curry night in bundles, BBQ bundles or single sachets of spices of your choice. Very inexpensive and well worth it.
The Sriracha Chicken was my absolute favourite. We made gourmet burgers, Chicken Tikka, Turkish Doner Kebab, Fajitas. The list goes on but each meal was as tasty as the last.
If you would like to try Spicentice for yourself whilst in lockdown head over to their website. Link below. You too can become your own Masterchef in the Kitchen much like my Mark. He is quite the chef, more often than not he rushes to the kitchen to make us dinner. We have to fight over who does the cooking nowadays. He wins every time, often kicking me out of the kitchen because my I mean who wouldn’t love their food cooked for them every night? He must be exhausted, bless him!
Check out their website www.spicentice.com you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
I wanted say ‘Thank you’ to all the key workers and those that have delivered essentials to our doorstep throughout this unsettling time.
The Postman, the bin men, courier services for delivering purchases and post. The food delivery drivers, the local wine company (We needed it), and importantly the NHS, carers and all the emergency services for looking after us and keeping us safe.
